• When housing leopard geckos you need to provide at least a
10 gallon tank for one leopard gecko and a larger enclosure
for more.I use rack systems for my leopard geckos because
they are great for housing over 20 or more geckos. You can
purchase a rack from vision or animal plastics, like I have
done. Make sure you don't place you tank or rack in direct
sunlight because it will kill your gecko[s].

  • When heating your leopard geckos enclosure you need to
provide a warm side and a cool side because leopard gecko
[s] thermo regulate their body. The warm side should be
around 85 to 90 degrees and around 75 to 80 degrees on
the cool side. If you are using a rack system for your leopard
gecko[s] make sure you have it hooked up to a thermostat,
because if you don't it will over heat and kill your gecko[s].

  • There are a few substrates you can use for your leopard
    gecko[s] including paper towels,newspaper,slate tile,and
sand. I use paper towels because they will not harm your
gecko[s] and it's easy to clean out. Sand has been known to
cause impaction, that will kill your gecko[s] if it is not surgically
removed right away and can harbor
    parasites.

  • When  shedding you should provide your leopard gecko with
a moist hide so that they can shed their skin properly without
any complications. If your leopard gecko has any skin left on
the toes or body you can put your gecko in a shallow dish of
warm water for 10 minutes(without leaving your gecko) and
then remove the skin with a pair of tweezers.

  • When it comes to feeding your gecko you can provide them
with a variety of foods including crickets, roaches, meal worms,
silkworms, butter worms, and pinki mice for breeding females
only because they are high in fat. Make sure to dust their
    food with calcium 4 days a week,calcium D3 1 a week,and
vitamin and minerals 2 a week.
